Community-based disaster risk reduction/WASH: training manual

This Training Manual for community-based actors is meant to introduce participants to the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) framework. It is intended for the participants to gain some understanding of and to be in a position to implement community-based activities that will address their community’s vulnerabilities to disasters. They may also be in a position to contribute to the search for a way to reduce the improper disposal of wastes and the promotion of Water and Sanitation Hygiene (WASH) in their community. Therefore, the purpose of this training is to enhance knowledge and skills to increase the capabilities of community-based actors address disaster management responsibilities effectively.
